High Street-At the north end of town in the gently winding High Street, is the Land Gate, one of the round towers built in the wall by Edward III.

Where is it? Rye is located NE of Hastings along the A259 which runs parallel to the coastline of the English Channel. Approximately 70-80 miles SE of London and less than 1 hour drive east along the A259 from Rye to the English Channel with links by sea to the rest of continental Europe.
